Fashion house Marchesa’s duo, Georgia Chapman and Keren Craig presented their bridal line during the second day of New York Bridal Week. What Georgia and Keren had very clear since the start of their line was that there is much more to a bridal gown than the Cinderella-inspired ball gown look. It should look interesting and classy, not too contemporary neither too old-fashioned. This duo wants to make a substantial transformation in the entire concept of bridal wear. Craig stated, “ you can think of a short skirt having an overskirt wrap around it to create a gown or sleeves that come off.” And Georgia added, “It is a romantic notion that when you were a child and you played dressed up and imagined that you were getting married — the misty, hazy romance of those memories.” Marchesa’s fall 2018 bridal collection is speaking volumes for its premium lace and embroideries on those grand voluminous dresses.
