Pockets were first designed to store things on the sides, and later on they looked prettier with different cuts and embellishments.
This fall we get to see them in fur embellished tweed suits by Simone Rocha and a variety of oversized outfits designed by Christopher Kane. We were particularly amazed at this pushes and spotlighted pockets. You might also wonder where where these pockets can be placed to look interesting, and these appeared off to the side on pants, over the chest on silky plunge-neck shirts, and taking over most of the outfits. If you want to take it a notch higher, you can opt for the long length coats. This season we see a lot of maxi dresses, long coats, knitted interpretations with long sleeves and high-waist pants. Basically long lengths are in, however you might think of combining it with similar outfits or something absolutely contrasting. Now try long lengths with interesting pockets such as a long coat with embellished fur pockets. And if you want to really go out of the way, you can also experiment with different styles such as a jumpsuit with pockets all-over in abstract colors and shapes.
