NYFW FALL 2017: SHINE-UP WITH THE '80s

As if we did not get enough of predominant 80’s looks during the last seasons, this fall displayed some more of it. All the ruffles, overalls, square-inspired shoulders, puffer sleeves, are just some of the 80’s trends seen on the fall runway. This style was incorporated by designers like Altuzarra, Nicole Miller, Ulla Johnson, Self-Portrait and Vivienne Tam. And what else can we ask for if we have the 80’s look with some sparkle. Shiny materials were used on collections by Nicholas K as well as some very blue ones by Vivienne Tam. Including, Rachel Coney’s shiny pantsuits were very much admired and unlike what many people think, designers have proved this season that 80’s-inspired trends with some sparkle can also be flaunted during the day time.
