WRAP IT UP WITH SCARVES

Scarves have been used since centuries as draping and wrapping on apparel as well as on accessories. They are seen as beach wear sarongs, or as a bandana wrapped-around the head or even as the following: they were a safe choice even in the 1920’s and 30 years later became a symbol of a housewife. This time around, we got to see loads of them on the spring runway, from Daks’ keffiyeh-inspired scarves wrapped as lovely head wraps to Miu Miu’s graphic printed scarves again tied around as head wraps resembling the 50’s look. Giorgio Armani’s were also loved as they gave a trendy 20’s feel. Otherwise, designers such as Pascal Millet opted for more earthy tones in head wraps. One of the various designers who displayed a creative line was Gucci, not only having interesting hats but even elegant satin head wraps and scarves, not only wrapped around the models’ heads but also tied off in bows or buns right at the front of their heads, making it look even more interesting.
