THINKING OUT OF THE BOX

The fashion industry is full of people with different perspectives, from designers to fashion forecasters and the likes. Within these there are conservative ones as well as risk-takers, the latter thinking outside the box. These designers are always seeking unique and creative ways to present their collections. This season we have been noticing a lot of playfully unusual designer lines which the basic audience would never consider even trying out. For instance, Tibi’s models had these sleek ponytails firmly secured with white and black belts. Who would even think of such an absurd yet interest way of tying their hair? While at Rodarte’s show, fabric recycled scarps were used as hair bows and bands to gather the hair. But what shockingly surprised us the most was Haider Ackermann’s interpretation of this concept. Shredded scarps of white fabric separated chunks of gelled up hair, creating architecture-inspired spikes.
