WHEN FASHION DETERMINES THE SEASONS OF THE YEAR

Many people I have come across with always wonder how the fashion industry plans the determined collections according to the seasons of the year. As such the fashion industry calendar is categorized into two major time seasons, being spring and fall. Spring refers to the six-month time period from January to June, while Fall occurs from July to December. Now when it comes to fashion week, fashion week takes place twice a year, in February and in September. Trillions of people from international buyers, to fashion analysts, bloggers, stylists, entrepreneurs, and common spectators wait for these fashion weeks with a lot of enthusiasm. Accordingly, fall clothing lines are presented by designers in February and Spring lines are shown in September. One would think why are these fashion weeks so important, and the reason is that firstly they attract the public and secondly buyers get to view designers’ latest collections, hence start buying the following season’s attire right then.
