A lot of times we have been inspired by fashion trends coming from other beautiful places in the world, ranging from all sorts of accessories and embellishments to embroideries, fabric materials, certain styles to wear outfits and the likes. When it comes to headscarves, they were originally used by elderly women where they tied them below their chins. But these days, when you see someone with a headscarf on, you call it the babushka style very much seen not only on the elderly crowd but also young ladies. This trend has a very sophisticated appeal, and can be worn with a plain fabric or a printed one, both looking equally classy. This season it first appeared at London Fashion Week, in Mary Katrantzou’s show with printed outfits combined with printed babushka headscarves worn over loose hair with center partitions. Another designer who flaunted this style was Christopher Kane with headscarves having a cellophane texture with long endings. Dolce & Gabbana created utmost sophistication with their black lace headscarves somewhat evoking a mourning mood. So try it out now and take your feminine look a notch higher this winter with headscarves.
