The Metallic Shine

Metallic looks are a classic and evoke a futuristic appeal, noticed on dresses, skirts, tops, pants and all kinds of outfits. The three variations between silver, gold and copper make people fall in love with the entire trend again and again. Years ago, it was considered too loud and jazzy to wear metallics during day time, but now you see it not only on your clothes but also on accessories. This season, the metallic trend continues to surprise us with different cuts and combinations. McQueen’s transparent gowns had various types of shinny metallic detailing while Peter Pilotto’s stunning prints worn under knee-length coats also made a statement. Shinny embellishments just added more glitter to the winter runway with Dolce & Gabbana’s golden coats and Fendi’s gorgeous silver skirts. You don’t need to worry about it looking over-board as you get to see metallic everywhere nowadays such as on coats, gowns, dresses, jumpsuits, tops, pants and the likes. But always remember when wearing a metallic or gold or copper to go easy with the make-up and accessories as you do not want to end up looking like a disco dancer.
