Hey Ladies...Capture Your Masculine Side

Not to our astonishment, many spring/summer trends are seen this fall/winter with modified looks and styles. One of the biggest trends that hit the runway was masculine versus feminine style, and has again appeared this season with many admirers. The use of masculine to focus certain traits of the feminine side keeps the audience intrigued as this look creates the lack of specific gender and rather creates a look with multiple genders all at once. DKNY works around this gender ambiguity with chunky boots and sweaters over pinstripe suits. Whereas, Ralph Lauren’s line includes stunning plaid check blazers and brown comfort fit trousers with a shirt and tie. This fashion trend derives its incentive from late 60’s and early 70’s looks as unisex clothing formed a large amount of rock royalty, the sequins-and-kimono look alike of Jimi Hendrix and David Bowie. If you want to play it safe, just wear a tie on a shirt to carry off this masculine look with a touch of femininity. On the other hand, if you are a risk-taker you can opt for a loose-fitted trouser with a low crotch and suspenders or mannish blazers.
