Naeem Khan states, “my family has been making embroideries for over 100 years-I have all the facilities to do [couture], so why should I not? I think I have honed my skills. I’m ready for it.” This extremely talented designer always succeeds to amaze the audience with his intricate and absolutely beautiful ensembles. Naeem’s ready-to-wear fall/winter 2016 line is believed to present his family’s history with the craft and as he states his improved skills. His show which was showcased at New York Fashion Week is said to be inspired from the streets’ architecture as well as the skyline. Naeem believes to find similarity between people’s penthouse rooftops and diverse embroideries. Not only are there remarkable evening gowns, but also extreme detailing on the embroidery that’s simple awe-inspiring. There were some classic looks which the audience saw according to their expectations of Naeem’s stunning craftsmanship and some interesting textures and patterns. Filipino Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach was noticed sitting at the front row wearing one of Naeem’s jumpsuits. Nonetheless, the highlight of the show was 11-year-old Trinity Faith Moran, a cancer patient whose dream came true to wear a Naeem Khan creation. She walked the runway with Naeem in a pretty red gown and ended the show with a smile on everyone’s face.
