Another fashion house owned by the LVMH group is French house Celine, with its creative director Phoebe Philo bringing in many changes of late. This season Celine displays a lot of mini dresses in wool with flared pants. This seems to incline towards the elongated fits and flares at the bottom, creating a more practical look to carry off. Some odd outfits were also seen such as the big black tweed bubble top, and shirts, trousers, and coats all in oversized looks. The audience also witnessed incomplete cuffs, and at times inspiration taken from Japanese aesthetics. When it came to the outerwear at Celine’s show, there was a strong inclination towards cape silhouettes with flaps and drawstring bottoms and the feminine appeal to it with stunning dresses with skirts floating at calf length. There were some dresses embroidered with organic link shapes, while others were shiny silk ones with ruching and knotting in colors such as black, white, mustard yellow and a bit of mineral blue. But on a general basis, the collection worked around earthy tones with the exception of one green pant.
