Anna Sui Is All About Vibrant Jewel Tones And Motifs

Anna Sui is all about stunning jewel tones and vibrant hues with interesting prints and motifs, and this season she has presented a combination of psychedelic and pop culture in her ready-to-wear line. The audience got to see loads of abstract lines, hearts, stars, and flowers all in crazy color combinations working hand-in-hand with French sculptor and painter Niki de Saint Phalle. The famous baby-doll dress with poetic sleeves and wrapped with motifs completely out of shape has been loved by all. As mentioned earlier, Sui also fancies jewel tones that were present in shades of the German-American painter, Richard Lindner, with the smoky red and fuchsia hues inspired by the Japanese graphic designer and illustrator, Tadanori Yokoo. In fact, quite a few of those baby-doll dresses were seen on the runway with very light-weight fabrics, and lace or velvet with ornamented botanical motifs or some abstract prints. Also, there were psychedelic ones reduplicated as they were paired with green, red or purple tights, which were floral prints teamed with matching dresses. Otherwise, there were also multi-coloured maxi dresses with narrow silhouettes and bodices resembling shirt styles with some ruffle detailing as well as some pant suits and skirt suits inspired by the 1960’s.
