Lanvin's Spectacular Soiree

When an atelier leaves a fashion house, people always speculate how the forthcoming collection will turn out to be, in this case Lanvin’s creative director Alber Elbaz. This season, Elbaz’s designs were very much missed, due to their luxurious structure, nonetheless, many new varieties of designs were presented at the Paris Fashion Week. Fashion trends that were loved by the audience were: the show-opener, an oversized blazer with a single button, shiny grey and black lapels along with detailing, with the plunging effect, revealing till the abdominal; skirts that complimented this blazer look with pretty frills at the hem. Also, lacy blouses tucked into extra high-waists looked fascinating, along with high necks and hemlines cropped at ankle-length. There was a also a futuristic feel to the line due to Lanvin’s laser-cut design along with peplum corset tops. Otherwise, the audience also got to witness midi hems that ended at mid-calf length, and centre slits were also noticed, standing differently to their slouchy pants and gathered to the ankle ones.
