Everything in this world has a functional use, but in the fashion world we also see what may look aesthetically pleasing to the eye, such as colourful and ornamented tights. As we all know, tights keep us warm during the cold winters and also allow us to wear dresses and skirts that otherwise we wouldn’t dare to because of the cold. But also, colourful tights are used as color blocks with shoes or outerwear to create an interesting and unique look. Marc Jacobs’s black-purple striped deconstructed tights were considered quite intimidating; while Valentino’s powdery pink tights with ballerinas were so delicate and pretty. Some designers that presented black tights were Bibhu Mohapatra, Moschino, Alexander Wang and Alexis Mabille. So try on some and mix-and-match them with different colors and styles to create a new look.
