As mentioned yesterday, the punk look is very much in vogue these days. It is seen on earrings, ear cuffs, necklaces, and also safety pins, buckles, and chains. This look evokes the rebellious, anarchistic and adventurous women, combining both Gothic and chagrin styles. These English safety pins, heavy chains, and buckles were the center of attraction on the runway when it came to fashion accessories. Alexander Wang’s “Strict” show is considered to be the leading show of this trend, followed by Alexander McQueen’s buckled chokers with chains at the London Fashion Week. At Milan Fashion Week, Moschino’s crazy combination of chains and leather buckles were quite a scene to witness. Nonetheless, Gucci took buckle chokers to a whole new level at Paris Fashion Week. Also, Isabel Marant’s red buckle wristbands and safety pin brooches were quite stunning. And Sonia Rykiel’s huge safety pin earrings were loved by many, along with Celine’s safety pin necklaces.
