Ruffles Are Again In Vogue

Fall 2016 has flashes of the 70’s, one of which is ruffles. This season you get to see more ruffles with off-shoulder dresses and flared pants. Ruffles are styled-up in different ways on dresses, skirts and tops by some of the top designer houses such as Roberto Cavalli, Dior, Oscar de la Renta and Moschino. This season, we even see ruffles on sweaters and shoes, adding further volume and glamour to sleeves and collars, at times across the chest. Fendi’s skirts, tops, and shoes all flaunted the whole ruffle trend, and Prada’s ruffled sleeves were simply fabulous. Otherwise, MSGM chose to include lots of ruffled layers in beautiful textures with red, orange, and pink color highlights. Giamba’s show had diagonal ruffles, among many more designers who worked around frills and ruffles this fall.
