As we all know, brocade is one of the rich and luxe fabrics used since centuries, often made with colored silks and gold and silver threads. Fall 2016 has featured a lot of brocade with its texture and diverse patterns. Top designers like Michael Kors and Oscar de la Renta explored this texture with a bit of exotic fabrics in light tones as well as colorful hues. Previously, brocade was used for evening wear due to its classy look but now designers are proving that you can even carry it off during the day. What designers are doing is modifying brocade styles by creating shorter hemlines and pairing them with button down tops and sweaters. For instance, Michael Kors’ yellow and gold brocade pants can be worn for a casual look or even for a formal business look with a stunning cream colored sweater.
