As mentioned yesterday, the classical furs may have been modified through the years, but they still stand classy and timeless. 19th century onward, new machines have been invented to transform animal pelts at very reasonable rates. Nowadays, there are also machines that stir hides and skins as they soak, removing the hair and flesh from the hides, splitting the hides, softening them and embossing a pattern on them. Including the weight of furs vary as they are made lighter and more manageable. Also, there are machines that can weave texture and pattern into furs in a variety of colourful and modern looks. Yelena Yarmak, a Russian mathematician who became a fashion designer, invented a technology that makes fur resemble silk. Otherwise, she has also created mink jackets which are similar to leopard skin and chinchilla. Fur coats are extremely expensive but there are less expensive ones also in the market such as muskrat, wolf, racoon, hare, lamb, among others.
