Fur It Up!

Furs are known throughout the world as they have a personality of their own, evoking both elegance and style. As a matter of fact, fur is one of the oldest forms of clothing in the history of fashion. A fur is often used while referring to a coat, a wrap such as a cape or poncho, or a shawl made from animals’ furs. A pure fur is naturally very expensive due to its uniqueness, durability, elegance, warmth, and its soft texture. But fur is only rejected by certain people for moral reasons, sometimes even designers. Stella McCartney is one of these famous designers who rejects fur and stands against animal cruelty. Animal furs are also used in trimmings and in various patterns, many times similar to animal pelts. And as discussed in one of the previous blogs, shearling is also a type of fur that is shredded down to create a velvet look and texture. This fall these furs come in bright colors as designers have left no stone unturned with bright dyes.
