Wraparound Creations

The previous fall had fabulous wrapped silhouettes on the runway, particularly coat dresses in which the dresses were wrapped-up in fascinating ways. Such ensembles always look classy even though they may be very simple as they look elegant, interesting, and compliment your body’s curves. Lots of designers capitalized on this trend, like Jil Sanders, Sportmax, Diane von Furstenberg, and Tod. This year, not only dresses and coats, but even tops, skirts and many more outfits were striking out on the ramp. Victoria Beckham’s strapless assemblages with slots across the chest and asymmetrical skirts looked very enticing with the wrap-around effect. Multitudes of coats by Burberry were admired as they were inspired by the military look, while Christopher Kane’s fur trimmings with matching furry shoes also looked unique. And Mulberry combined wraparound asymmetric skirts with pleats, to give the entire line a very sophisticated appearance.
