Be Flirtatious By Showing-off Your Shoulders

Attention in abundance has been given to the shoulders this year, with off-shoulder, asymmetric shoulders and cut-out shoulder trends. Showing-off a little shoulder evokes a flirty and more feminine edge, even in the simplest silhouettes. A lot of combinations are seen this fall such as David Koma’s double straps over a single shoulder. Otherwise, the single-shoulder look takes us back to the 80’s with a lot of ruffles such as in Isabel Marant, Saint Laurent, Moschino and Lanvin’s shows. Interestingly enough, many designers ignored symmetry when it came to designing around the shoulders. For instance, Prabal Gurung created designs out-of-the-box with asymmetric lines and hems.
