The Broken Checks Or Houndstooth

The houndstooth pattern originated in Scotland during the 1800s, and was originally worn as an outer piece of woven wool by shepherds. As we may notice, this pattern actually consists of broken checks, many times creating four-pointed shapes. As we all know, this pattern is a must when it comes to fall and winter collections, this fall showing a lot of it on coats, dresses, jackets, and even bags and shoes. There is this smooth transition from houndstooth fall to winter lines. Top designers such as Dolce & Gabbanna, Michael Kors, and Salvatore Ferragamo have created stunning fall collections this year, making us excited to look forward to even better winter collections inspired by houndstooth patterns. Also, Armani Prive Fall 2016 collection was fancied due to its A-line houndstooth coats and jackets worn with dhoti pants.
