Saint Laurent’s pre-fall collection is inspired by the ‘80s, with strapless tailoring, and red and black voluptuous skirts with stunning polka dots. Elie Saab who is known for its lovely detailing, used shimmery small polka dots in his navy blue evening dresses, while Marc Jacobs hinted a bit towards the Gothic trend by presenting black and white classic polka dots on elongated ensembles. Edun’s collection was also very interesting, as polka dots took shapes of many buttons, both real and printed, over blue silk outfits. MSGM and House Of Holland took a more bold approach by showcasing thongs of polka dots in different shapes. And Naeem Khan’s maxi silk frocks had huge black polka dots in a vertical line.
