Check It Out With Checks

It will intrigue you to notice how spring trends are back this coming fall, from pastels to even prints and checks. The latter is seen in black and white optical illusion styles as well as in plain and plaid color trends. Year by year checks look even more interesting, and this time designers have merged many different ways to make checks look even more spectacular. Alexander Wang’s skirts on plaid trousers at Alberta Ferretti looked rather stunning. As we have seen so many checks and plaids throughout all these years, we have become a bit ignorant towards it, but designers keep on creating new and modified patterns and combinations to get them a unique look. They are shown not only in muted shades but also vibrant colors. The beauty behind checks is that it can work for a business woman’s suit and even for a casual jumpsuits or shorts. Barbara Bui’s collection had painted vibrant red in fitted pantsuits while Burberry chose to focus on loose-fitted wool coats with plaids in muted shades. As expected, Chanel presented the all-time-favorite checks and plaids on tweed skirt suits with rough finishing at the hems, and Karl Lagerfield used pork pie hats and knee-high boots in his check-inspired ensembles.
