Tweed is known to be a luxe fabric used during the Fall and Winter time, this pre-fall season proving how sophisticated and ladylike the can look with heritage-inspired undertones. Oversized tweed overcoats are a sensation of this season, paired with wide-legged pants with luxurious satins and delicate sheer fabrics, creating a masculine as well as feminine style. Demure flowing dresses with elegant floral prints were also seen on the runway. A vast variety of famous designers have used tweed in their Pre-fall lines such as Miu Miu, Gucci and Versace. One might recollect that Coco Chanel made headlines with her famous tweed suites, but now designers from Haider Ackermann to Simone Rocha, Sacai, Max Mara, Erdem, Prada and even Dior have created these stunning collections using tweed. Of course you can only wear this thick fabric in cold countries, but while wearing it make sure you don’t leave it the famous tweed suit that looks so elegant and sophisticated with its vulnerability to look good on anyone and everyone.
