Pre-fall 2016 is showing strong traces of standout coats in over-sized furs, and bold lively colors, with playful patterns particularly seen in Bottega Veneta and Fendi’s collections. Uncountable designers were seen focusing on street style in animal prints, super-bright colors, geometric patterns and interesting applique work. Two renowned designers who ace the stylish coat look are Karl Lagerfiend and Silvia Venturini Fendi. The latter’s Pre-Fall collection consisted of a ready-t—wear line of haute bedwear. Now one may wonder why that might look, but the audience believes that Fendi pulled it off very gracefully. The luxe robes had shed their bedroom look and brought out a more porch appearance. Acoording to fashion analysts, many of these bathroom-inspired coats and vests in bobcat, mink, stable, and fox were worn over trousers, and high platform slippers or even trekking shoes embellished with strips of shearling. When it comes to pants, they cane in sharp colors such as teal, blush pink and terra-cotta. There were hints of ancient Asian hand-dying techniques, particularly shibori, famous in Japan. Otherwise, geometric and organic patterns were seen on a grand scale, specifically the graphic diamond print.
