Oriental style has always been a huge inspiration all around the world, one of which is Japanese. The Japanese have created trends that have been admired and applied such as Mori girls, Yama girls, Harajuku girls, Lolitas, Otakus, and Marshmallow girls. This season, loose-fitted pants are inspired by Oji girls that evoke the ‘’old-man look’’ with baggy trousers. This includes structured, oversized and vintage colors and patterns such as a grey tweed pair of trousers in a plaid pattern. Another androgynous Japanese style with a linear cut has been inspired by the Hakama pants. Famous Japanese designers such as Yohji Yamamoto took to this style. Otherwise, Sportmax incorporated this Hakama pant trend with white pants, and Giorgio Armani with his stunning pleated line. Tome and Del Pozo presented more rigid and structured ensembles, where darts were used to create further flare. What also caught the audience’s attention was Alexander McQueen’s peonies print and Emilio Pucci’s fascinating patchwork.
