Indigo

Indigo has been immensely appreciated in jewelry with precious stones but this summer it is all over the runway. What makes this colour so interesting is that it is a purple tinted blue in a darker shade. Indigo appeared in Acne Studios’ sweaters and mesh tops as well as in Altuzarra’s button-down dresses. Esteban Cortazar presented deeper hues of it in his collection, and Martin Grant merged it with lemon chiffon in his outfits. Elie Saab, who is one of the most famous celebrity designers also had a fabulous line of indigo outfits and Etro used this color in its printed summer wear. A deeper purplish blue was all over Amanda Wakeley’s summer line at the London Fashion Week.
