Spring Summer 2016 shows are all about modified versions of trends from the 1970’s, the fringe being one of them. Fringes are seen on hemlines, handbags, shoes and basically everywhere possible on the runway. From Proenza Schouler’s maxi dresses to Etro’s knee-high boots, these trimmings were in center of attraction. While styling this trend you should remember no to get carried away as your outfit may end up looking like a costume so the best thing is to keep it simple with a minimalistic look and the fringe. What’s amazing is that fringes can be added on mini skirts, midi skirts, layered skirts, and even wrap skirts each with different lengths and textures to it. You will notice that most of the times, these fringes are added to leather or suede skirts as they are do not fray, durable and fall well on the body. You can also try with a kind of hippie look by wearing a crop top with the fringes on the bottom or a suede or leather jacket with fringed not only on the hem but also on the sleeves, creating a stunning look with the movement of the arms.
