This season is all about focusing on a large variety of trends and designers are making the best out of it by experimenting with unique styles. One of these growing trends is the skirt which is being presented in countless lengths, styles, colors, textures, fabrics and prints. So let’s alot some blogs exclusively to skirts, starting with the trumpet skirt. Trumpet or mermaid skirts look very sophisticated as they accentuate the hips and perfectly sit on the thighs leaving the bottom flares discreet. As per their construction, trumpet skirts are ideal for evening wear to an elaborate dinner party or a gala. Many designers like Alessandra Rich, Dion Lee, House of Holland, Oscar de la Renta, Rochas, Saloni, Erdem, Rachel Zoe, Maison Margiela, Manish Arora, Noir Kei Ninomiya, Monique Lhoillier, Francesco Scognamiglio, Peter Pilotto, and Balmain proved how fabulous the trumpet skirt can look. Alessandra Rich displayed an array of off-shoulder twisted gowns with trumpet hems, while Dion Lee’ s collection was quite different with its one-shoulder dresses with trumpet handkerchief hems. Oscar de la Renta flaunted his stunning lace strapless wedding gowns with mermaid hems and Rocha’s resort line has these spectacular swimsuit bodices with plunging necklines and crystal-encrusted mermaid overlays. The most important styling tip here is to always remember that you should only wear a trumpet skirt if you do not have broad hips as if you do, they will look even broader in this cut and all the attention will go on your wide hips rather on a balance of your body's curves.
