Tank tops are another very sporty look seen quite often in spring-summer 2016 runway shows. Tank tops are very versatile as you can wear them throughout the year and you don’t have to think much when it comes to pairing them with other clothes. Tank tops can be worn with mini, midi, and floor length skirts, pants, denims, and even on jumpsuits with suspenders. If you want to go more formal, you are always sure that a normal black or white tank top under a blazer will perfectly fit the office wear appearance. Moreover, tank tops come in jersey, silk, sequenced, transparent, printed, cropped, as a tie-up, knitted and with quotes and icons so there is quite a variety to choose from. If you want to create an evening look silky and flowy fabrics without prints and textures are a better option. And you can always accessorize it with heels and statement neck pieces. Some designers that flaunted this tank top trend were Calvin Klein highlighting its famous logo, Victoria Beckham’s suede tank tops with over sized handbags, Givenchy’s long and short slip dresses, and Lacoste’s log straight-cut dresses at New York Fashion Week. Chloe’s stunning graphic tank tops can be paired with denims, legging or shorts. One designer who took this trend to another level was Stella McCartney as she layered her tank tops along with polo shirts and tube skirts to give it a stretchy look and blend in with the entire active wear trend.
