Stroke Your Brush In The Right Direction

Many years ago, Alexander McQueen had given the audience goose bumps by introducing his collection with a paint machine spraying paint all over the model that was moving in a circular direction. This spring, prints are inspired by strokes of paint and fabulous aesthetics are seen on organic prints, taking creativity to the next level. Prabal Gurung played around with bare shouldered side slits and brushstrokes gave a very natural feel at the Jasper Conran Fashion Week. Many people considered these brush strokes to resemble earthy mineral surfaces. Collections with bold brush stokes were seen by Emilio Pucci, Derek Lam, Etro, Missoni, and BCBG Max Azria, among others. What Emilio Pucci did was not only include brush strokes in his collection but also on the fringed accessories the models were carrying. Also, Kean Etro skillfully applied brush strokes of different colors adding layers to his collection. Missoni’s models wore these silk outfits printed in multi-coloured brushstrokes that stopped at irregular intervals but yet looked quite fascinating.
