Star It On Your Map

The audience was awe-struck by Gucci’s shiny midi-length map skirts, and Dolce & Gabbana brought to notice famous Italian sceneries in different print. What was seen as a massive trend on the ramp were stars all over dresses, denims, and other outfits where it seemed as if they were just stuck on like stickers. Creatures of the Wild, for instance, used different coloured stars on their pants’ legs down to the knees. Another designer who chose to work around flags was Lacoste merging patriotic stars on the skirts. What was also interesting was Karen Walker’s collection where floral looking stars stood out, giving an effect of a starry night with a sparkling sky.
