Trouser waistlines have dropped this season, sitting on the hips and giving it a very comfortable look. Wide-leg trousers were seen in many fabrics on the runway such as silk, wool, and cotton in different styles. A lot of these low slung pants were inspired by designers from the ‘90s as well as some like Michael Kors who gave it a rather elegant appearance with side-waisted belts. Calvin Klein and Derek Lam also promoted this look with classy rich fabrics and cuts in their collections. These hip-hugging pants offer a different and refreshing feel to the high-waisted pants you have been seeing for so many seasons now. They can be paired with a tailored vest or a crop top and look fabulous and stylish wherever you go. You can also wear them to keep the midriff area bare by wearing a half-shirt tied –up in the middle or a half-top tied-up on the side to make it look casual and chic. Otherwise, you can go formal by teaming it up with a silk button-up blouse, as long as the trousers are loose and wide-legged.
