Spaniards are known for their graceful flamenco dancers and their beautiful ruffled dresses. This time again, designers have taken it a notch higher with crop tops in stunning flamenco skirts, spectacular dresses with diverse ruffles combining them with jackets, off-shoulder tie-ups and layered ruffled gowns. Oscar de la Renta, Cavalli, and Osman have all used ruffled creations in their 2016 spring collection. On the Paris Runway, what drew everyone's attention were sheer tiers at Carven, chiffon cascades at Giambattista Valli, leather ruffles at Alexander McQueen among others. It is believed that ruffles give delicacy and drama to dresses, coats and skirts.
