Micro Pleats Hit The Runway

Pleats can be placed in different ways and types to create interesting textures and cuts. This season micro pleats are making headlines, especially experimenting with different shapes and adding it to unstructured pieces. World-known designer Issey Miyake raised eyebrows with his spectacular collection in 1993 called Pleats Please, keeping in mind that pleats have been used since many years before and even after that. This time of the year, designers are again bringing in a new change to the entire concept of pleats. Designers such as Altuzarra, Boss and Proenza Schouler are using micro pleats in knockout dresses and suits with elongated jackets.
